The Nkawkaw Akuajoo community has been thrown into deep mourning following the heartbreaking passing of Gifty Akua Agyei, popularly known as Empress Bintu, at the tender age of 25.
Described by friends and loved ones as vibrant, warm, and full of promise, Gifty’s sudden departure has left family and the entire community devastated. Her radiant smile and youthful energy, captured in cherished photographs now circulating in tribute, tell the story of a life that ended far too soon.
The cause of her illness has not yet been disclosed, and there are currently no confirmed reports regarding the circumstances surrounding her passing. Investigations are currently ongoing to determine the exact cause of her death, and further details will be communicated once confirmed.
A Life Remembered
Gifty Akua Agyei was the beloved daughter of Mr. Kwame Agyei (a.k.a Darling Boy) and Mrs. Abena Darkoah (a.k.a Sister Mother). She was a cherished sister to Emmanuel Kwasi Darko (Kerry) and Rose Hannah Darko (Akosua), and a loving mother to her young son, Mc Clane Obojourwaa Amissah (Niteke).
Family members describe her as a caring mother, a devoted daughter, and a dependable sister whose presence brought joy and comfort to those around her.

Friday, 13th February 2026 – Keeping at Salvation Army School Park, Nkawkaw
Friday Night – Candlelight Night at Salvation Army School Park
Saturday, 14th February 2026 – Laying in State at Salvation Army School Park
Saturday, 14th February 2026 – Burial at Jejeti Cemetery
Sunday, 15th February 2026 – Final Funeral Rites at Salvation Army School Park, Nkawkaw
