COCOBOD: is an institution which controlled and fixes the buying price for cocoa in Ghana.
Newmont: is a leading gold company and producer of copper, silver, zinc and lead.
Government: is a group of people with the authority to govern a country or state.
Nkawkaw: is a town in southern Ghana and is the capital of Kwahu East District.
Abirem: is a small town in south Ghana and capital of the Birim North District in Eastern Region of South Ghana.

Government of Ghana in partnership with two big institutions which are Newmont and COCOBOD in constructing forty one (41KM) Kilometers road network from Nkawkaw to New Abirem in Eastern Region of Ghana.
This project was commissioned by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to promote infrastructural development in Eastern Region of Ghana.
This project was awarded to Volta Impex to ensure and complete it in eighteen (18) good months for easy movement of goods and services in Eastern Region of Ghana.
Sixteen Kilometers (16KM) of the road will be construct by the help of Newmont Ghana which is said by Mr. Francois Hardy, Newmont Africa's Regional Senior Vice President which will cost Fifteen million US dollars ($15,000,000) while Government of Ghana and COCOBOD will find the rest of the project.
Mr. Francois Hardy mentioned in his speech in their meeting with the COCOBOD and the president of Ghana that, one of their company aims is to leave areas in Ghana better than how it found.
He also gave assurance that, the Ghana Highway Authority will provide technical supervisors for the road project.
Newmont and COCOBOD will be responsible for managing this project. This project have brought a lots of Ghanaian's who always passed Nkawkaw before New Abirem some kind of joy you need to witness some because they have prayed in many years for this road to be constructed and this is their end of it.
People who stay at Nkawkaw and New Abirem praises Honourable Joseph Frimpong, Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkawkaw Constituency and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government for this project in Eastern Region of Ghana.
