On Wednesday, August 26, 2021, Hon. Joseph Frimpong, the Eastern Region's Member of Parliament for the Nkawkaw constituency, gave the Kwahu West Municipal Health Directorate at the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly four sets of electronic beds, four side drawers, two scales, and other medical supplies.
Presenting the items, Hon. Joseph Frimpong stated that one of his top goals was providing the constituency with high-quality healthcare.
Therefore, he would keep working to make sure that all of the local health facilities have the necessary supplies and equipment to improve their operations and raise the general public's level of health.
“I will continue to support in every way possible to ensure that citizens will experience the best healthcare,” he said.
Ms. Celestina Asante, the Kwahu West Municipal Director of Health Services, who accepted the products, conveyed her sincere appreciation to the MP and promised that they would be distributed fairly. In order to use the objects for their intended use, she pledged to keep them clean and safe.
Since Nkawkaw is currently the second most affected constituency in the region, he advised the people to always follow all COVID-19 protocols. To extend the objects' lifespan, Hon. Joseph Frempong counseled the Directorate to take good care of them.
The New Patriotic Party Constituency Chairman, Mr. Kwame Osei Dankwah; Mr. Noah Brako, V-20 Campaign Coordinator; Mr. Frimpong Amoah Eric, Municipal National Service Scheme Manager; Mohammed Alidu, Municipal NADMO Coordinator; Morrison Nyarko and Paul Mensa, Aides to the MP; and party members and supporters attended this brief ceremony to transfer the hospital equipment.
Since the first case was reported in the municipality, the Directorate has made a significant contribution to the fight against the epidemic, which the Member of Parliament praised.
