This article will enlighten you on how Nkawkaw-based Ghanaian hip-hop musician Frederick Osei‑Buabeng, who is also called by others Kwame Kissi, was fatally stabbed to death following an altercation with Kwashiga.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a territorial dispute between two groups in Nkawkaw. After listening to accounts from about six eyewitnesses, it was confirmed that a fight broke out between these two well-known figures in Nkawkaw, Phada Gaza, and Kwashiga, resulting in serious injuries.
Phada Gaza, whose real name is Frederick Osei‑Buabeng, died on the 2nd of November, 2025, after being stabbed during a violent confrontation with a rival gang member, Kwashiga, in Nkawkaw, the Eastern Region of Ghana. Phada is in his late thirties with three children with three ladies.
Phada Gaza, who is from Kwahu and has lived in Kwahu since childhood, according to reports, is well-known for his music career and gangster lifestyle at Nkawkaw Agbogbloshie, and he always portrays himself as the real king of the ghetto and the lord of the streets in the Nkawkaw townships. He had a ghetto, which is near Kwashiga ghetto.
Kwashiga is one of the bouncers during an event at the Nkawkaw Real Parker Event Center at Nkawkaw Atibie Amanfrom (New Road), and he is a very calm gentleman, according to reports, but because of his work as a bouncer, he needs to put fear into people to portray himself as the real king of the ghetto and the streets sometimes in Nkawkaw townships.
The gangs from Kwashiga camp report that Kwashiga is an Ewe macho man who relocated from Accra to settle at Kwahu Nkawkaw Kookom near Agbogbloshie, and with his smartness, he has acquired several parcels of land at the Nkawkaw Agbogbloshie Marketplace through his father, even renting some for people.
Nkawkaw Kookom and Agbogbloshie are just near (like 5 & 6), and you can imagine two gangsters whose ghettos stayed close; anyone wants to rule the streets as a street lord, and two kings cannot rule a city without claiming the overall kingship. This brought hatred to both since.
The rivalry between the two has existed since 2016, according to eyewitnesses, but it finally ended in a violent peak on Sunday morning, on the 2nd of November, 2025, leaving one dead.
Phada Gaza always threw shade at Kwashiga, according to alleged reports, because Kwashiga had taken some land near his ghetto through his father, which seemed like an encroachment on his ghetto or territory.
Recently, alleged reports according to some eyewitnesses indicate that the confrontation began when a member of Kwashiga’s camp went to Gaza’s ghetto to sell marijuana (weed).
Gaza, upon discovering this, allegedly beat the young man at Nkawkaw Zongo Junction opposite Opportunity Bank on the 1st of November, 2025, with a machete, and the next day Kwashiga went to confront Gaza, questioning why he had lashed his boy at his ghetto at Nkawkaw Agbogbloshie. The confrontation then turned heated, which brought on the heated, bloody fight.

According to other eyewitnesses, Kwame then pulled out a pair of scissors and stabbed Kwashiga in his eye, leaving him in critical condition, but Kwashiga managed to seize Gaza’s cutlass and give him a deep wound around his armpit, ribs, and lower abdomen. He was then rushed to the Holy Family Catholic Hospital in Nkawkaw but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Kwashiga survived, and he is currently receiving treatment at the Police Hospital Accra for specialized care.
Nkawkaw Police are conducting their immediate investigation to confirm and issue an official statement about the actual cause of this violent altercation between them, but tension remains high in the area following the incident. Sorry to family and friends for the loss.
