On the 8th of June, 2022, a diesel tanker with registration number GT-6490-X get involved in an accident at Nkawkaw Achiase in the Eastern Region of Ghana around midnight which catches fire after swerving to the nearest river called "Nkawkaw".
According to residents in the area, this accident was caused when the drivers of the diesel tanker tried their best to save a taxi driver after unsuccessful overtaking.
According to residents in the area, the taxi driver run away before the diesel tanker catches fire and they are sure he might hear the news about his mistake by now.
They explain feather that, the explosion of this tanker was caused by the diesel tanker's contact with an electric wire after swerving into the river.
It was therefore revealed that the three drivers of the diesel tanker were also able to run away from the tanker before it catches fire that time.
According to my investigation, the diesel tanker was loaded with fuel from Accra to Kumasi which unfortunately involved an accident at Nkawkaw Achiase.
