The final funeral ceremonies of Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II, the late Kwahuhene (the Paramount Chief) of the Kwahu Traditional Area in Ghana, were captured on camera during a traditional funeral procession in Kwahu Abene in the Eastern Region of Ghana.



A notable traditional leader, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II's burial was not only a family gathering but also a state and cultural event, attended by government representatives, traditional drummers and warriors, other chiefs and queen mothers across Ghana, and members of the public.


So in a viral scene, a prominent chief in the Kwahu Traditional Area who served as the Kwahu Abetifihene, Nana Asiedu Agyeman III, and Benkumhene Nana Siaw Ampadu II in their traditional attires were seen with their royal courtiers, walking in procession, carrying colorful umbrellas with designs and text on them, moving to the main funeral rites grounds of Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II.

Both chiefs represent important pillars within the Kwahu Traditional Council, and by paying royal tributes, their presence at the final funeral rites symbolizes the legal respects and loyalties to the late Paramount Chief (Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II), who was the overlord of the Kwahu Traditional Area.


Their attendance also marks unity of the stool structure among themselves, even in mourning, and continuity of leadership for the people of Kwahu.
