In a 37-page report on illicit mining, the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has denied accusations that he oversaw a plot to assassinate the previous Minister for Science, Environment, Technology, and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng.
According to the report written by Prof. Frimpong-Boateng, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah organized a covert gathering of NPP and NDC journalists on February 8, 2020, in Dodowa to plan a coup against him (Prof. Boateng).
The conclusion of the meeting, according to Frimpong-Boateng, resulted in ensuing unfavorable media coverage of him.
The accusations, according to Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, are wholly untrue.
He claims that he never conducted any meetings to remove anyone from government office and that he only went to a PRINPAG (Private Newspaper Publishers Association of Ghana) session on financial reporting that was jointly organized with the Bank of Ghana.
And in the PRINPAG session that day, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah posted this;
