Blocked Gutters Cause Flood Disaster as Angry Shop Owner Cries Out at Kwahu-Atibie.
A businesswoman at Kwahu-Atibie in the Eastern Region of Ghana has expressed deep anger and frustration after floodwaters invaded her shop following heavy rainfall in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, the flooding occurred because gutters around the community were heavily choked with refuse, preventing the free flow of water during the downpour. As the rain intensified, water quickly overflowed from the blocked drains and entered nearby shops and homes, destroying properties and causing panic among residents.

The affected lady, who could not hide her disappointment, blamed the situation on the indiscriminate dumping of rubbish into gutters by some residents. She stated that several warnings had been ignored before the unfortunate incident happened.
Videos and photos circulating online showed muddy water spreading across the area while some residents struggled to salvage their belongings from the flood.
