After a U.S.-based model named Bonita Maria posted a "cozy" picture of herself and the Nigerian musician on Instagram, Davido, the star of Nigerian Afrobeats, quickly became the talk of social media.
The musician was seen inside a room kissing the model's cheeks in a picture that has since gone viral on social media.
In response to criticism from the singer's followers on social media, Bonita has taken aim at the musician once more by posting a video that shows the Grammy Award winner at one of his lowest points.
Davido is shown in the video sobbing and pleading. "I'm on my knees," he can be heard saying. According to reports, Davido emailed Bonita the video when she threatened to end their relationship.
According to rumors, Davido begged for one final private time with Bonita. Since then, the video has had over a million views on Twitter alone, and as of the time this story was published, over 10,000 comments have been made on the post, some fan supporting the singer and others are not.
