Banks That Will Not Accept GHc50 Notes And Ghc20 Notes From 31st August 2022.

 American Dollar has arisen which has affected many countries' currencies, especially Ghana which has made many banks in Ghana to earlier inform their customers through text messages and emails on the cedi notes that will not be accepted from August 31st, 2022.

Recently, the only Bank whose messages are circulating on the internet is Guaranty Trust Bank Ghana (GT Bank Ghana). On Tuesday, 9th of August, 2022, they sent text messages and emails to their customers to inform them of that. They even gave their customers their call line to call for any enquiries.

According to GT Bank Ghana, this was affected because of the currency denomination of UK pounds sterling which will be discontinued by the Bank of England effective September 30th, 2022.

This has brought fear to a lot of Ghanaians who are having many Ghc50 notes and Ghc20 notes in their money box (Susu Box) and bags which they have kept as savings for future use.

This is the message they sent to their customers;

"Dear Customer, Effective August 31, 2022, the Bank will no longer accept the 50 and 20 paper notes. Call us on Toll-free No: 0800124000 for any enquiries"

This is a screen video of one of their customers she did and posted on her TikTok account;
