Ashaiman Recorded 124 Teenage Pregnancies in January to February 2022.

Ashaiman is a large town in the Greater Accra Region of South Ghana and it is well-known with a population settlement of a hundred thousand to one million people.

According to Ms Theodora Okpojah, the Sub-Municipal Head Nurse in Ashaiman Municipality has revealed that hundred and twenty-four teenage girls have been recorded in their data for teenage pregnancies in Ashaiman township from January to February 2022.

She said Ashaiman is the highest town with teenage pregnancies record from January to February 2022. She urged parents and guardians in Ghana especially Ashaiman to build a strong friendly relationship with their teenage girls to enable them discussed Adolescent Reproductive Growth together to avoid them being pregnant.

She, therefore, advises parents and guardians in Ashaiman to take very good care of their teenage girls with more sex education to avoid them getting pregnant in the country.
