Football is one thing that connects a lot of people and brings joy and inspires greatness among people in every country. Ghana's biggest alcoholic beverage, Malta Guinness Ghana has been unveiled today as the official sponsor of the Ghana Women's Premier League (GWPL).
Malta Guinness Ghana is now the headline sponsor of the Ghana Women's Premier League (GWPL) which has officially announced today 5th of August, 2022 by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in their meeting with Malta Guinness Ghana. The deal is worth of ten million Ghana cedi's (Ghc10,000000) which spans three years starting from this month August 5th, 2022 and ending on the 25th of August 2025. A lot of Ghanaians are very proud as they heard about this news today.
Estella Muzito Malta, the Marketing Director for Malta Guinness Ghana said their decision to sponsor Ghana Women's Premier League is one of their company's missions "to fuel a world of good" and their company has a long-standing history of supporting Ghana sports.
According to her, Ghana Women's Football has in recent years which has taken its much-deserved place as a premium sporting spectacle which has attracted thousand (1000) of fans or supporters. She added that because of the incredibly talented, Ghana Women who play the game, the officials, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the fans will be energized in their support of their favourite team and their company will be there to refresh them all the way.
Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) President also expressed his pride in their partnership and stated that the commitment of the Ghana Football Association to ensure a successful competition is indeed yielding positive results in the country. He added that the Women's Premier League will be shown on one of the biggest television stations which is Max TV and they will enrol all players on the YEA for monthly allowances.
He, therefore, stands in for everyone and gives thanks to the management of Malta Guinness Ghana for believing in them for their sponsorship and added that, they will work harder to project their brand to attract more companies to corporate with them in Ghana.
According to Sylvia Owu-Asunkomah, the Corporate Relations Director of the Malta Guinness Ghana, their sponsorship with the Ghana Women's League under the Ghana Football Association will help to bring back more love for Ghana Women's Football.
