To be clear, "hook-up business" is a new, slick term used to describe prostitution, in which attractive, intelligent women mingle with married, successful men solely for financial benefit. These women join adulterous men and women's WhatsApp and Telegram groups, where they communicate to bargain or conduct sexual commerce including both money and sex.

Kwame Borga, a production manager for many movie companies, has categorically revealed that almost 70% of Kumawood actresses are now dependent on the hookup business to make ends meet.

Kwame Borga used logic to support his assertion that all the wealthy Kumawood actresses are a consequence of their new company, the hook-up business since only Agya Koo and Lilwin were paid 5000ghc in their prime as performers.
