Reports From The Seme Command Of The Nigeria Immigration Service On The 16 Nigerians Deported Over Cybercrime.

 After 16 Nigerians between the ages of 19 years to 24 years were charged with cybercrime by Ghana Financial and Intelligence Agency and deported back to their country, the Controller of the Seme Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has come out with their report on these 16 Nigerians after their preliminary investigation.

According to the Controller of Seme Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) over a recent cybercrime case about the 16 Nigerians who were deported back to their country, most of these Nigerians are not in the cybercrime business as the authority of Ghana service reported but rather get to their country illegally.

Their report says, most of these Nigerians travelled to Ghana without genuine travel documents but they were added to those who were caught in their cybercrimes investigation on the 15th of October, 2022 and were deported among the cybercrimes because they were staying with them together.

According to Dr Chukwu Emeka, the Controller of the Seme Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), some of these Nigerians were recruited into this criminal activity as a result of the get-rich-quick mentality. He, therefore, urged all Nigerians to travel with appropriate documents and do business by the law wherever they go.

 

And they should find time to investigate any business they get before getting involved because they came to notice that some of these 16 Nigerians were deceived about the actual job they were expecting to do. Some too left their country through illegal routes.
