Today article talks about the new visitors area at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Opened by H.E. Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
Ghana first lady, H.E. Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo was utmost pleasure to hand over a new waiting area for visitors at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
She noticed in May 2019 that many visitors at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital sat under trees and other uncomfortable areas and it was quite obvious to her.
So she tried to find solution to that by building this new waiting area for Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
She said, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital need a decent waiting area for their visitors which will help people at Emergency Wards to provide comfort, safety, peace of mind and protection against adverse weather conditions.
This was her speech under the opening of the new visitors area for Korle Bu Teaching Hospital that day.
"I expressed my desire to Dr. Okoe Boys, who was the Board Chair of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital at this time, for helping me find solution to solved visitors been under trees and uncomfortable areas at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital when waiting for their relatives and friends undergo medical care.
I approached some corporate institutions, including the First Atlantic Bank, to help me build this waiting area for visitors at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The Managing Director of First Atlantic Bank acknowledged the enormous relief that, such project would help visitors who have to wait for their relatives or friends a peaceful mind and protection.
Today visitors who will be coming here have banking solutions in financial services. This building can contain hundred and fifty (150) people with comfortable washrooms. This project will bring a huge relief to Management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as well as visitors.
I charged Management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to ensure this place well maintained and clean. I also entreat visitors, who will be coming here to keep this place clean and adhere to the required protocol.
