KFC’s 15 years anniversary celebration on August 15, 2026, came with an attractive promotion that saw some meals reportedly reduced from GH¢60 to just GH¢15, giving customers the opportunity to enjoy their favourite chicken at a heavily discounted price.

However, what was supposed to be an exciting anniversary deal took an unexpected turn for one customer after a rather unusual part of a chicken was reportedly discovered in a food package.

A photo shared by the customer shows what appears to be the anus, or vent, of a chicken attached to a heavily fried piece of chicken. The rounded, wrinkled part can be clearly seen at the centre of the crispy-coated food, making the discovery particularly eye-catching.

The image has already raised eyebrows, with some people likely wondering how such a part of the chicken ended up being served as part of the meal.

While the chicken’s vent is technically part of the bird, customers may understandably have different reactions to seeing it served in their fried chicken package, especially when they were expecting the usual cuts of chicken.

The discovery has therefore turned what was meant to be a celebration of 15 years of KFC into an unexpected talking point, with the GH¢15 anniversary promotion now accompanied by a rather unusual food discovery.

The image alone does not establish whether the item was intentionally included, accidentally left attached during processing, or how it passed through the food preparation process.

For the customer who found it, however, the question remains simple:

Would you eat this if you found a chicken’s anus attached to your fried chicken?
